About Me

My photo
I'm a 45 year old mother of 3 boys. I live in a beautiful old house that needs a lot of TLC with my youngest son and 2 dogs. I am working hard at keeping myself healthy and fit by working out and doing a spot of running. I'm a creative person and am passionate about keeping traditional skills alive. I cook, knit, bake, garden, preserve, read, write and am now learning to spin and quilt. Oh and I sometimes swear.....

It's NaNoWriMo time!

Just a few hours to go now before I disappear into my computer for 30days.  50,000 words in 30 days is an average of 1667 words per day.  You're allowed to prepare your plot and flesh out your characters beforehand but you must not start writing your novel until midnight tonight.  The best bit is you don't re-write or edit or correct spelling and punctuation (you do that at a later date).  That's tough when you're a teacher!!!  That's been my downfall in the past.  This year I hope it's all very different.  I'm confident in my ability to do this and am making it my priority for this month.

So don't worry if I'm not posting much on here. I'll pop in and update my progress.  I've got a feeling this year could be my year!

On a more serious note I've now got my appt for the breast clinic.  Still got a couple of weeks to wait but it's a one stop clinic so by the time I leave there I'll know exactly where I stand.  I'm not thinking about it until I have to.  Just keep on sending me those positive thoughts.

I need to go tidy up now.  Got Debs coming to visit. Top burd (according to the subversive one). I agree!

All the best for your novel.

YOU CAN DO IT!

Just imagine you are at the end of the month with your novel written.

(You can tell I've been to a Jack Black Seminar can't you!!)
