Annual Ceilidh

Yes the snow is melting at last but unfortunately it's got nowhere to go.  This was the scene at 4pm last night on my bend and there were reports locally about roads being closed, abandoned cars and general flooding chaos in and around Crieff.  Normally this wouldn't have bothered me as I would be curled up on the sofa BUT it was the annual Strathearn Harriers ceilidh at The Famous Grouse Experience (or the Grouse Factory as someone's mum described it!)

So I got my posh frock on, packed an overnight bag (just in case I got stranded in Crieff) and set off picking up Kaz and Al on route.  It was a bit hairy in places but we made it safely to TFGE.

It was a fab night.  Just the right amount of speeches (thanks Kaz for announcing my triathlon to the world, no pressure then!!!), good food, great company, wild dancing (I nearly crashed into the band during a wild Gay Gordon with a very wild partner!!) and fun games.  And I was on the diet coke all night.  I think this was my first ever sober ceilidh and it was still fun ;-)

Glad you made it and enjoyed the night. It didn't look promising at all when I left - there was even a car getting towed out a puddle at the Langside road juntion!

Tee Hee! Your very welcome! Just gentle encouragement! You'll do fab. Thanks again for letting Al and I both have a few drinks and leaving a little early when I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer.
