About Me

My photo
I'm a 45 year old mother of 3 boys. I live in a beautiful old house that needs a lot of TLC with my youngest son and 2 dogs. I am working hard at keeping myself healthy and fit by working out and doing a spot of running. I'm a creative person and am passionate about keeping traditional skills alive. I cook, knit, bake, garden, preserve, read, write and am now learning to spin and quilt. Oh and I sometimes swear.....

Randoms

Just a few random catch up things to report.  I've actually entered my first triathlon. Yikes!! Now I have a target to train towards.  It's the Stirling Novice Tri on 5th June.  It's a pool swim so don't need to invest in a wetsuit.  Stick the date in your diary and feel free to come and watch me make a complete idiot of myself.  I can't believe after years of supporting you lot at events I'm asking you to come and support me.

I've changed my OU course. Due to 2 of my completed psychology modules being updated before I finish my degree I would have to re do the new versions. That would take yet another 2 years finishing in 2014 and a small fortune.  But if I change to an open BA hons they will still count and I'll be finished next summer.  No brainer.  So I'm about to start AA317 Words and Music, a course looking at everything from opera to tribal songs at the end of the month followed by Advanced Creative Writing starting in October  Can't wait!

And yep we've had a ton of snow dumped on us again.  It does make everything look wonderful when the sun is out.  This is my regular dog walk route just over my backyard fence. But digging yourself out every morning makes life very wearing.

I'm considering doing an open degree too Ali. As is the case with blogging, I'm much more of a beginner than you with the OU! And, also a bit like blogging, I've found that the OU becomes quite addictive once you've started!
Sounds like an interesting course choice - hope it goes well. x
